Missouri river is flooding and we may be next! One of the towns in Kansas is gone and the only thing left is one barn. I'm in walking distance to the Missouri river but thank goodness I live on a big hill looking over the south end part of the city. In 1983 the river flooded and many people lost homes, crop and lots of cows. The river stage at flooding levels is 17.0 it's now at 24.0 so it's getting rather bad and it's not stopping there. The rain is coming and doesn't plan on stopping until middle next week.
New update at 9:08 P.M Sunday night- Parts of our side in Missouri is flooding and by Thursday all of 59 highway may be covered. The lake Ave area has been asked to hit high lands and the lake is starting to flood.
